MORE MONEY FOR HOUSING: Members of the Qualicum Beach town council, past and present, presented a cheque for $115,000 to the Qualicum-Parksville Kiwanis Housing Society last week. Mayor Teunis Westbroek said the money was paid out of a fund the town created by charging developers $2,000 for every non-affordable housing unit they built.
